To make sure that the custom firmware is installed correctly push select on the PSP and it will pop up with the CF menu. Press X to launch CFW ( It might show on the screen that an unknown PSP model 011g, don’t worry about that) The PSP will restart to a black screen which will have three options:ġ1.

Scroll down until you see Pro PSP Firmware Update.

On the PSP itself push CIRCLE to exit USB Mode and scroll right until you get to the Game Menu.

Copy the FastRecovery and PROUPDATE folders to the GAME folder on the PSP Drive.

On the PSP drive, double click on the PSP folder, then double click the GAME folder.

For less confusion I’m going to refer to the removable disc as the PSP drive instead.

Once recognized open the Removable Disc through My Computer ( XP Users) or Computer ( Win 7 Users). Windows will recognize your PSP as a Removable Disc.
